ORGANISERS are celebrating another blooming success for the annual Denshaw flower and home produce show.
The surprise of this year’s event was a new class and a return of the BBC Watch with Mother classic The Flowerpot Men.
Committee member David Wheeler said: “There was a special prize and class for the best-made flowerpot man. Once again I was amazed at what the people of Denshaw and surrounding area have produced for our show.”
“Not only were their horticultural exhibits but the home produce section was once again well-supported as too the children’s classes.”
Councillor John Hudson presented cups to the winners and was auctioneer when the flowers, vegetables and home produce was sold off to raise funds for next year’s show.
