A film maker had his camera shoved in his face while filming an incident involving two couples in Market Street, Manchester.
Waiter Inam Uddin (25) turned aggressive and tried on several occasions to snatch the victim’s camera said prosecutor Beverley Bates at Manchester and Salford magistrates’ court.
At one stage Uddin was videoed pulling down his pants and exposing himself, the court heard.
Uddin, of Trafalgar Street, Oldham, admitted assaulting the cameraman, damaging his headphones and indecent exposure on March 5. He was given a 12-month community order with a rehabilitation programme to address his offending behaviour.
Magistrates told him: “We take into consideration there was some provocation — but you should have taken a deep breath and counted to 10.”
He was ordered to pay costs of £360 and £20 compensation for the headphones.
Mr Peter Casson, defending, said said Uddin had asked the victim on several occasions to stop filming him.
Uddin was also given 50 hours unpaid work to add to the 180 he received earlier in the year for possessing an offensive weapon.
