Woman held in child-sex crackdown
Date published: 24 September 2015
A 39-year-old woman was arrested in Werneth yesterday on suspicion of supplying drugs by police investigating child sexual exploitation.
In a separate incident during the same operation a 12-year-old girl was taken into police care.
The two events were part of a week of action to crack down on CSE in Oldham.
Throughout the week officers have been working with partners to carry out education, prevention and enforcement action with young people in the borough.
Police, the fire service, health, immigration and the council are running several public events and working in schools to warn young people of the signs and dangers.
