FUNERAL . . . Tommy Bilton
THE funeral of a popular teenager killed in an horrific stab attack will take place on Thursday, October 1.
A mass in honour of 19-year-old Tommy Bilton begins at Holy Family RC Church on Roman Road, Limeside, at 10am, before burial at Hollinwood Cemetery.
Tommy was found with stab wounds by police on Ashton Road, just before 4am on August 15.
Tommy, of Elm Road, Limeside, was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital, but died later that afternoon. Since then friends and neighbours have rallied round and organised a number of events to raise money for his funeral.
Matthew Gregory (23), of Horsedge Street, Oldham, was arrested and charged with murder. He will appear at Manchester Crown Square Crown Court in February, 2016.
