Child sex shame of ex-academy teacher

A FORMER Waterhead Academy music teacher has evaded jail - despite pleading guilty to a string of child sex offences.
Stuart Lingard, who was principal cornet player in Brighouse and Rastrick Band, taught at the Huddersfield Road school between January and March 2014. He committed the offences in Rochdale between 2009-2011.
Lingard (38) admitted four counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of sexual activity in the presence of a child. He was given a three-year supervision order at Leeds Crown Court. He must also sign the sex-offenders’ register for five years
