Man dies in car crash

A MAN has died in a crash that injured several other people on the moors above Greenfield.
Emergency services undertook a large rescue operation yesterday afternoon after a VW Polo, an Audi A3 and a camper van collided on Greenfield Road. A man in the Polo died and two others in the car were hurt. The driver of the Audi was also badly injured.
The passenger in the camper van was slightly hurt while its driver, who was trapped by his legs, had to be cut free.
Air ambulances took two injured people to hospital and the road was closed. Police have launched an inquiry and an appeal for witnesses.
