FORMER Manchester United and England midfielder Paul Scholes proved his ball skills aren’t exclusive to football when he triumphed at a charity golf day.
The ex-England international won the individual competition at Housing Units’ annual event at Saddleworth Golf Club. The tournament raised £3,225 for Kidscan — Housing Units’ chosen charity for 2015.
Ten-handicapper Paul received the winner’s green jacket — a close facsimile of the green jacket of the Augusta National US Masters.
Nick Fox of Housing Units said: “We always look forward to our annual golf day, and we are delighted the money from this year’s event is going to a charity that carries out such vital research.
“A great day was had by all, and we hope Paul will be wearing his jacket with pride until next year’s event.”
