PAST landscapes and picturesque views from around Saddleworth have been recreated as part of a fundraising calendar for the parish council chairman’s charities.
Armed with his camera, parish council chairman Neil Allsopp set about capturing images from around the villages for the 2016 calendar, aiming to take pictures to show how Saddleworth had changed over the years.
Now the result, “Saddleworth Then & Now”, is on sale, with all proceeds going to the chairman’s chosen charities, Oldham Mountain Rescue, Francis House Children’s Hospice, Ballboys testicular cancer awareness charity and Grace’s Place children’s hospice.
The calendar is available from a variety of locations across Saddleworth including Uppermill Post Office, Uppermill Civic Hall and The Diggle Hotel.
