All-in-one say on plans for school

OBJECTORS and supporters of the new Saddleworth School will have more time to have their say on the proposalsas.
A new consultation period has been launched to bring the four planning applications into one, covering the building of the new school on the WH Shaw Pallets site, demolishing existing buildings there, demolishinf the link bridge on the Grade II listed building, and providing a drop-off area and residential car parking as part of the wider scheme for Diggle.
A new Environmental Statement covering the entire project is being prepared to cover all the applications as one, meaning a new 21-day statutory consultation will also take place, to allow the public to comment Residents in the area will get a letter saying when the 21-day consultation starts.
