A FAILSWORTH travel agent has seen off eight contenders to collect a national award.
Stella Sharples, one of Midcounties Co-op Travel’s top five agents, was crowned Homeworker of the Year at the Travel Trade Gazette Travel Awards in London’s West End.
Her award was for her travel experience, customer service and commitment to personalised holidays, combined with her support for local charity.
Stella (40) said: “It’s amazing to have won, I still can’t believe it. I pride myself on offering great customer service and providing completely personalised holidays.”
Stella has worked for Co-operative Travel since leaving school and decided to move into her personal travel agent role two years ago, so she could spend more time with her six-year-old son, Harrison.
