Campaign makes perfect food sense
Date published: 23 October 2015
OLDHAM Foodbank has teamed up with housing provider Guinness Partnership to make Christmas more merry for vulnerable residents.
Volunteers from the partnership are running Food Sense, a six-month campaign to help tackle food poverty. Over the past year, foodbanks run by the Trussell Trust handed out food to more than a million people. Food Sense volunteers will collect essential items to make up Christmas hampers and organise support for those who can’t get to foodbanks.
