Burglary blow for cafe

SHOCKED and upset . . . Cafe Spice owner Haji Miah says the burglary came only weeks after he first opened
A businessman is counting the cost of a burglary only two weeks after opening in Oldham town centre.
Thieves broke into Cafe Spice in Yorkshire Street on Sunday night and took food, a charity box containing around £50 and two mobile phones.
Owner Haji Miah said: “I am so upset about what has happened. We’ve only been open for a few weeks and I’ve worked so hard to get the business up and running to a high standard.
“I was hoping business would start to build up soon and I’ve been doing everything I can to make it a success, but this has set me back.”
