Teen charged with rape

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted rape and sexual assault.
The teenager was remanded in custody and due to appear before Oldham Magistrates today.
The charges relate to an incident late in the evening of September, in which a 45-year-old woman at a Middleton Road bus stop was approached by a male who attempted to rape her.
