Voluntary groups to merge

VOLUNTARY services in Oldham and Tameside are to merge into one organisation to improve services and bring lasting change.
Members of Voluntary Action Oldham and Community and Voluntary Action Tameside voted unanimously in favour of a merger designed to help the organisations to better tackle the challenges facing the voluntary sector.
Statistics have revealed that since 2012, 16 similar organisations have been forced to close and 24 more have undergone mergers.
The organisation will run from premises in boh Oldham and Tameside
