Detectives investigating a brutal assault want to speak to these three youths

DETECTIVES investigating the vicious assault of a 28-year-old man in Oldham have released CCTV images of three men they want to see.

The assault, just after midnight on August 13 outside the Goldstar Takeaway in Yorkshire Street, involved a savage attack by a group of youths against a lone victim. They inflicted skull and facial fractures before running off.

Det Cons Andrew Swettenham said: “We are very keen to speak to the young men shown in these CCTV images. This assault happened some time ago, but that will not prevent someone who recognises these men coming forward. This assault was brutal, unprovoked and only through sheer luck didn’t result in a more serious outcome.”.
