RESCUED: the parakeet

A parakeet has learned the hard way that magpies don’t make very good feathered friends.

The bird was spotted being attacked by two of the black and white aggressors on Oldham Edge.

A Good Samaritan rescued the victim and took it to Animal Rescue Oldham, where it is now being cared for.
