PROPOSED Saddleworth School for the Shaw pallet works site, Diggle.
OLDHAM Council is holding a drop-in event at which people can view the proposed highways scheme for the controversial new Saddleworth School.
Many Saddleworth residents are opposed to use of the site - on land at the former WH Shaw Pallet Worksin Diggle — over fears about potential traffic problems.
Villagers from neighbouring Dobcross have also highlighted concerns, claiming increased school traffic would turn their conservation zone village into a rat run.
The drop-in event is at Kiln Green Church in Diggle on Thursday. Residents can visit from 3pm-7.30pm. Council officers will be available to explain the scheme, after which members of the public will be able to make comments for 21 days, starting later this month.
