STEAMPUNK SATURDAY: unusual take of Christmas festivities
CHRISTMAS shoppers will take a step back in time when Oldham town centre hosts a free Victorian “Steampunk” event on Saturday.
Enjoy side shows and street entertainment from 11am until 4pm.
Hop on board the pedal-powered Flycycle Delivery Service, or check out the Palace of Curiosities, a Victorian circus workshop and Festive Foxley, the merry magician on wheels.
Many more curious acts will celebrate the Steampunk mix of industrial gadgetry infused with a Victorian idea of the romance of the new.
