It’s party time for Latics - at last

Guests enjoy the Christmas atmosphere at the event centre in the North Stand.

LATICS’ Oldham Event Centre gave Winter Wonderland guests a warm welcome as the venue finally opened its doors.

A week earlier Christmas party guests were left in the cold when they turned up to discover a last-minute safety glitch meant it couldn’t open. That frosty atmosphere was thawed as 180 guests partied at the North Stand facilities over the weekend.

Despite Saturday’s game against Millwall being called off, the club’s corporate hospitality event went ahead as planned.

“Our opening night on Friday went very well and we had a busy weekend,” said a spokesman.

“Obviously, we had a bit of a disaster with the game being called off on Saturday but everyone was there so we went ahead with the hospitality.”
