Singers can Handel the festive pressure

DECADES of musical experience will go into the 53rd consecutive performance of Handel’s Messiah by Saddleworth Male Voice Choir tomorrow night.
Some members of the men’s choir - which as usual will be augmented by a women’s chorus for the occasion - have appeared in over 40 performances. Some of the female singers have been appearing in the concerts for more than 30 years.
The concert is at Uppermill Civic Hall at 7pm. Tickets, priced £15, £13 and £10 available on 01457-873 182.
