Rocketing all over the world

AN Oldham band is over the moon at being taken to the International Space Station by British astronaut Tim Peake
Peake blasted off into orbit with Blackballed’s CD (of the same name) in his hand luggage. The band, formed by brothers Marshall and Leon Gill on guitar and drums respectively and local bass player Tom Wibberley, used contacts to get their self-titled EP on the rocket ride in advance of their first album’s release next year.
Marshall said: “Leon’s girlfriend came into contact with someone who works with Tim a good few months ago, and that’s how it came about. We’re really happy he’s taken it with him. We hope he enjoys it!”
Tim boarded the ISS last week and will spend six months carrying out educational and science projects.
