POLICE are hunting a thug who robbed an Oldham snooker hall by threatening a member of staff with a “baton”.
Shortly after 10pm on December 28 a man went into the snooker hall in King Street and threatened staff with the weapon. He stole cash from the till before running off.
The raider is described as white, about 5ft 11in and medium build, with distinctive blue eyes and some front top teeth missing. He was wearing a hooded top that partly covered his face.
Detective Constable Steven Gilliland of Oldham division said: “Fortunately no-one was injured, but a man was left shaken after being threatened with what we believe was some kind of baton.”
Anybody with information should contact police on 0161 856 9063, 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
