A NEW Year pledge to improve quality for patients has been made by the Pennine Acute NHS Trust.
The trust, which runs the Royal Oldham and other hospitals in the area, has unveiled a plan to improve the quality of services it provides, which runs from administrative standardisation to clean wards, staffing levels to training and development opportunities,
The trust will also accelerate its focus on dementia care and will improve communication with patients, families and staff.
Dr Gillian Fairfield, chief executive of the trust, said: “In my first year here we have developed the vision and values that bind us and have reviewed all our governance and quality systems. We’re now raising the bar on quality.”
