Teen in kidnap and torture ordeal

Horrific burns found on the victim.
AN Oldham teenager has admitted his part in the kidnap and alleged torture of a 15-year old schoolboy.
The youth was one of five who allegedly took it in turns to burn him with a hot iron before rubbing salt and lemon in the wounds.
The victim told shocked police officers that he had been forced into an address in Werneth where he was stripped and punched in the face.
He alleges being trussed up with tape and brutally assaulted before his attackers calmly ate a meal as lay injured.
The boy hid his injuries after being finally released until a school worker spotted his burns and reported it to police.
Four of the alleged attackers - all Asians aged 15-17, appeared before Oldham magistrates last October, who sent the case to the Crown Court. They heard the defendants knew the victim well.
At a preliminary hearing at Manchester Crown Court this week one of the five entered guilty pleas to blackmail, assault, false imprisonment and wounding with intent. Three others have pleaded not guilty to the same charges, and two have denied further charges of assault and of being engaged in sexual activity without consent. One of them also denies theft of a mobile phone.
A fifth youth has yet to enter pleas. A trial date has been set for early April for those who plead nit guilty.
Proceeding.
