Homes decision deferred
Date published: 15 January 2016
PLANS to build 34 homes around a nursery in Sholver have been put on hold until councilllors settle an issue over affordable housing.
Domalo Nurseries had applied to build 34 homes and four apartments on land off Sholver Lane, Sholver, currently occupied by Hillside Nursery.
The Chronicle reported in 2013 that Hillside was at risk of relocation after Domalo was granted permission to build 30 homes on the site and convert the nursery building into a block of flats. The plans were never acted upon, and the latest proposals mean the nursery will stay.
