Six on child sex charges

SIX men have been charged as part of the continuing investigation to tackle child sexual exploitation in Rochdale.
Operation Doublet has been led by Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team, assisted by the Public Protection Division and Rochdale Division.
The charges relate to offences committed between 2004-2008 against three victims aged 14 -16 at the time.
Five men from Rochdale and one whose identity cannot be revealed are due to appear before Bury and Rochdale Magistrates on Thursday.
To date, 83 people have been arrested, 15 have been interviewed under caution and prosecutions have been launched against 25 people.
