House blaze drama
Date published: 20 January 2016
Workmen prevented a major blaze at a house in Delph which started when a log fell out of a fire.
They called 999 after spotting smoke at the home in Heights Lane yesterday morning.
A pile of logs stacked next to the burner caught fire and flames spread to the floorboards of the room above. No one was in the house and firefighters had to break in to put out the flames..
