Car-jack warning
Date published: 21 January 2016
POLICE are warning people in Chadderton to be vigilant after two attempted car-jackings on Tuesday night.
The first was in Butler Green, when a woman returned to her parked car and a man opened the driver’s door, shouted to her to get out and tried to grab the keys. The victim managed to drive away.
Later in Thompson Lane a woman was approached by three men after pulling into a car park. They demanded her keys. The woman screamed and passers-by chased the gang away.
All the carjackers are in their late teens or early 20s and had their faces covered.
