Spooked Zeus takes to the hills

A pet owner is appealing for help to find his dog, which vanished at Dovestone Reservoir last week.

Harry Rogers (71) was walking Zeus, a black and tan Doberman at lunchtime on Tuesday when the dog was spooked by shotgun fire and ran off towards the moors.

Harry, from Mossley, said: “We’ve had Zeus almost 10 years and he is very loved. He’s a big dog, but very soft. He’s scared of his own shadow most of the time so he’s likely to be very scared on his own in an area he doesn’t know. If anyone finds him, please contact us.
