Hotel murder trial opens

A man has gone on trial accused of killing an ex-paramedic from Oldham.
Michael Andrew Sanderson, of Arkleby, Cumbria, yesterday appeared in Manchester Crown Court charged with the murder of Terence Edward Taylor. Mr Taylor was attacked in the early hours of last May 31 in the Globe Hotel, Cockermouth following as pub crawl.
Sanderson (31) denies murder. The trial continues.
