REUNITED . . . Harry Rogers with pet dog Zeus after nine days alone on the Saddleworth moors
PENSIONER Harry Rogers is “over the moon” to have his beloved pet back after nine days lost on the moors.
Well-wishers formed a search party after the black and tan Doberman disappeared at Dovestone Reservoir last week. Harry’s family launched an emotional plea in social media and the Chronicle for help finding him
Zeus was later found close to the reservoir boat house by members of RSPB Dovestone.
Harry, from Mossley, who has had Zeus for almost 10 years, said: “When we got the phone call saying he had been found we were delighted. It’s brilliant to have him back home with us. He’s lost over a stone and a half because of the lack of food. He’s very hungry - but happy to be back.”
