Oarsome feat!
Date published: 08 February 2016
A DETERMINED HGV driver is hoping to row 22 miles for his latest fundraising stunt for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice — without leaving dry land!
John Stigwood (53), from Sholver, will use a rowing machine at Rhinos Gym on Ripponden Road to complete his challenge on February 14.
The father of three has previously done a 50-mile row to mark his 50th birthday in 2012, raising money for the Royton Hospice and Shaw gas blast appeal.
His latest endeavour will be inspired by the loss of a close friend who died recently.
To donate to John’s fundraising challenge visit www.justgiving.com/john-stigwood1 or visit the gym between 9am and noon on February 14.
