SIX-YEAR-OLD Isobel Ashworth gets flippin great for host John Goodfellow.
CHILDREN had some flipping good fun at a pancake tossing contest in Oldham’s Tommyfield Market Hall.
Entertainer John Goodfellow encouraged youngsters to see how many pancakes they could toss into the air then catch in 30 seconds, ahead of Shrove Tuesday today.
Isobel Ashworth (6), from Coldhurst, pupil at St Ann’s School in Royton, managed to catch the pancake five times.
“I like to eat them with chocolate or sugar on top — or strawberries,” she said.
Tasnim Rahman (10), from Chadderton, managed 22 flips.
The Burnley Brow School pupil said: “I didn’t even count — I just kept flipping!”
