Charities boost at civic ball

MAYORS and dignitaries donned black tie and gowns for this year’s Saddleworth Civic Ball and raised £800 for charity..
The Mayor and Mayoress of Oldham joined over 100 other guests at Uppermill Civic Hall and raised the cash for the Saddleworth parish council chairman’s charities. The event, which included a dinner and dance, has taken place since the mid-1970s
