Love is all around...

Still in love in their seventh decade together Derek (83) and Bernadette (82) Broadbent

LOVE was in the air in Oldham over the weekend.

There was entertainment in the town centre from the Love Belles stilt walkers and a lot of laughter brought on by the Mexican Mariachi singers Los Romanticos and the Viva Las Wedding comedy performers.

Couples were also able to take snapshots in the Valentine’s photo booth, which were then shared on the I Love Oldham Facebook page.

Lovebirds Bernadette and Derek Broadbent will have been married for 64 years this September. The couple, who have five children, met at a working men’s club in Mossley.

Bernadette (82) said: “It’s lovely for everybody.”
