Latics want young teams on side

OLDHAM Athletic is pitching to local football clubs as it kicks off its first “grassroots day”.
The club’s community trust is inviting the borough’s 11 and under teams to don their kit and support Latics at the home game against Crewe on April 23.
Not only will they be able to soak up the atmosphere in the newly revamped family and community section they also get the chance to have a squad photograph in the match day programme.
Martin Vose, Oldham Athletic Community Trust’s community manager said: “I’d like to thank the football club for supporting this initiative. The grassroots day is all about getting local teams to come down to SportsDirect.com Park and to celebrate how successful grassroots football is in Oldham.”
The community trust only has a limited number of tickets (orders must be for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 junior complimentary tickets per club.
