Police arrested 80 people for a range of offences
POLICE arrested 80 people across Greater Manchester wanted in connection with domestic abuse as part of a two-day operation.
Hundreds of officers took to the streets ahead of Valentine’s weekend and arrested offenders for a range of offences including rape, assault, breaching restraining orders and making threats to kill.
The operation — codenamed Olympus — saw local officers work with specialist units to locate culprits.
Supt Craig Thompson said: “These fantastic results show that we will do everything within our power to locate offenders who make their partners lives a misery.”
