Teen critical after vicious attack

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy is fighting for his life after a vicious assault in Chadderton.
The teenager is in a critical condition after he and his 14-year-old brother were attacked on their way to Chadderton Boxing Club on Broadway.
Police this morning charged a 15-year-old boy with assault causing grievous bodily harm,
Officers are still searching for a second male.
Police say they aren’t aware of a motive for the attack, on Denmark Street early on Monday evening.
Officers were called to reports of an assault and an unconscious teenager and found the pair had been badly beaten. It is not believed weapons were used.
The brothers were taken to hospital where the younger one was treated for minor injuries.
Police are now looking for a man said to be of Bengali origin. He was wearing a black parka-style coat with a round white badge on the arm.
He had a full beard.
Detective Inspector Paul Walker said: "This was a horrible, violent attack and we hope the older boy is able to make a full recovery. We have made an arrest and are hoping the public can help us to identify the second male.”
