Drivers warned of road closure

MOTORISTS are being warned to expect disruption when resurfacing work on Broadway in Chadderton starts on Monday.

The work, 10pm-5am Monday to Friday and until 7am at weekends, will run until the end of April.

Some overnight carriageway closures will be needed, with clearly-signed diversions in place. Access for local residents will be maintained at all times.

The one-and-a-half-mile stretch of the busy road, which links the A627M to the M60, is being resurfaced to the junction with Foxdenton Lane. The workwill also include some structural repairs to concrete under the surface and new traffic sensors. The new surface will be a low-noise formula.
