Four childen escape as car hits stone wall

FOUR children had a lucky escape when they were passengers in a car which ploughed into a drystone wall and a lamp post in Holts.
The driver was taken to hospital with a suspected broken neck and his passengers were taken to Manchester Children’s Hospital. But everyone is believed to have escaped the wreckage with minor injuries.
The Renault is thought to have hit a kerb or skidded on water close to Cockfield Farm on Lees New Road at 8.20pm yesterday.
