Boy, 13, on GBH charge

A 13-year-old boy has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm after two teenagers were assaulted in Chadderton.
Police were called to Denmark Street in the early evening of February 15 after assault reports. Officers found a 17-year-old and 15-year-old boys had been badly beaten. The 17-year-old remains in hospital in a critical condition.
The 13 year old has been has been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm and the lesser charge of common assault. He was remanded in custody, due to appear at Oldham Magistrates’ Court today.
A 15-year-old boy previously charged with assault on the 17 year old and attempted assault on the 15 year old appears at Manchester Crown Court tomorrow.
