Police chase stolen car

THREE wanted men were arrested yesterday after police stopped them in a stolen car following a dramatic 40-minute road chase through Oldham and Stalybridge.
A Ford Ka with four people inside was pursued for 40 minutes after the driver — who later tested positive for cocaine — ran through a red light in Clarence Street, Stalybridge, at 12.50pm yesterday.
Squad cars eventually cornered the car in Stalybridge town centre at 1.30pm. The driver and passengers were all arrested. Three of the men were wanted in relation to historic theft offences.
Police dog Stig helped to catch the driver by jumping through the car window.
