Crash shock for householder
Date published: 07 March 2016
A CHADDERTON man woke this morning to find his BMW wasn’t quite as pristine as he had left it on Sunday night.
At 6am a driver lost control of his car - ironically, another BMW - and smashed into the parked car of Dale Dean (26), spinning it through two walls and into his garden.
Dale’s car was parked on his driveway in Foxdenton Lane, Chadderton. The collision flung Dale’s car on top of his garden wall.
The other driver, whose car then hit a lamppost, was unhurt but the damage to both cars was severe.
Dale, who believes his car will now be written off, said: “I was asleep then I heard this smash. It’s a total write-off. The wheel is hanging off.
“My car ended up on the garden wall so it must have been some impact. Then it smashed through my garden wall and my neighbours.”
Police are investigating the incident.
