AN Oldham charity is taking positive steps to create a happy workforce.
Union Street-based service provider Positive Steps is 29th in the Sunday Times’ 100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For list — the annual ranking of the cream of Britain’s happy and motivated workforces. It is one of only two Greater Manchester organisations in the top 30.
Each year, hundreds of organisations from a wide range of industries use this employee survey to measure the engagement of their employees.
Steph Bolshaw, the organisation’s chief executive, said: “This is an amazing achievement. I am delighted Positive Steps has been recognised in this way. We are incredibly proud.”
Positive Steps works to reduce youth offending and re-offending, supports families, works with young carers and provides career guidance across Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside.
Part of the feedback from staff was that 84 per cent believe the organisation makes a real difference to these communities.
