M62 closures to repair potholes

SECTIONS of the M62 at Rochdale will be closed overnight as potholes and cracks which developed over winter are repaired in the next two weeks.

Highways England will close sections of the motorway between junction 18, where the M62 meets the M60 and M66, and junction 20 at Rochdale.

Only one side of the motorway will be affected each night between 10pm-5am, and there will be no overnight closures at weekends.

The closures will be on the following dates unless heavy rain is forecast:

M62 westbound, junctions 20 to 19: Wednesday, March 16.

M62 eastbound, junctions 19 to 20: Thursday 10 and Thursday, March 17.

M62 eastbound, junctions 18 to 20: Friday, March 11.

M62 eastbound, junctions 18 to 19: Monday, March 14.

M62 westbound, junctions 19 to 18: Tuesday, March 15.
