Suranne Jones: baby boy

CHADDERTON-BORN TV favourite and former “Coronation Street” star Suranne Jones gave birth to a baby boy last week.

The 37 year old revealed the news in a message at the Broadcasting Press Guild awards. Unable to accept her Best Actress prize in person, her recorded video message said: “Sorry I can’t be there tonight but I have a good excuse.”

A representative for the actress later confirmed Suranne and husband Laurence Ekers were “overjoyed” to welcome their son into the world.

The star of the award-winning “Dr Foster” series and popular detective series “Scott & Bailey”, this is her first child with her husband.
