SADDLEWORTH Historical Society meets at Uppermill Conservative Club on Wednesday, April 6, for an illustrated presentation on “The Norman Conquest of Yorkshire”. Entry is £3 for non-members with a 7.30pm start.
SADDLEWORTH Civic Trust holds an illustrated presentation on “The Hydro Electric Scheme at Dovestone Reservoir” on Thursday, April 7, from 7.30pm. The event will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Uppermill.
COFFEE afternoons are being held at Christ Church Friezland every Thursday, from 2 to 4pm, served by the Friezland Coffee Shop.
JOIN THE Saddleworth Grand Slam Bridge Club for their weekly sessions at the Royal George pub in Greenfield. Sessions are held every Monday and Thursday, starting at 7.15pm. Players must have a basic understanding of the game. For more details, please call 01457 870626.
A LIVE jazz night is held every Friday at Delph Band Club, from 8pm onwards.
