CCTV footage has captured the moment a thief stole builders’ tools while they worked.

The thief sneaked into an alleyway near Bolton Street, Glodwick and swiped a drill set worth hundreds of pounds belonging to builders doimg pointing work on a nearby house.

While the builders were busy, the man can be seen being dropped off in a maroon coloured Vauxhall Zafira before running back to the vehicle with the expensive tools. He is then driven off by an accomplice.

Muhammad Shaam said: “The builders left their drill in the alleyway. They told me what had happened and thankfully I have CCTV cameras on that area. The video clearly shows someone get out of a car, sneak up to the alleyway and run back with the drill. The cameras have captured the thief very well so if anyone recognises him please tell the police.”
