THE hole in Ash Grove, Springhead - which appeared four months ago
A FORMER councillor has questioned Oldham Council’s delay in repairing a hole in the road.
The road collapsed into a significant hole in Ash Grove, Springhead FOUR months ago. Former councillor Chris Shyne, who lives nearby, has demanded to know why only a barrier was put round the hole.
Mr Shyne said: “I think it was four months ago that the council was saying it would be put right that day. Over two days five different visits were made to locate the hole - which they finally did. Then they surrounded it with a 3ft security fence – which is still there.
A council spokesman said: hole was caused by a collapsed gully, which will be [ermanently repaired in the next few days.
