Awards chance for translation firm

AWARDS hope . . . Delph-based Capita Translation
DELPH-BASED language services company Capita Translation and Interpreting has been shortlisted for a prestigious award only three years after allegations of poor performance.
The E3 Business Awards recognise regional excellence in enterprise, education and employment. The firm — one of the fastest-growing translations companies in the world — was selected from hundreds of nominees to be a finalist in the Employer of the Year and the Corporate Social Responsibility categories.
The translation firm faced allegations of poor performance in February, 2013. Applied Language Solutions, which was bought out by Capita in 2011, had been dogged by controversy since it landed a £42 million Government court translation contract.
